Myeloperoxidase activity assay for lung neutrophil quantitation. TMB substrate was added to protein extracts of whole lung tissue from exposed and unexposed WT and TLR9-deficient (TLR9-) mice and read at a450 after 2 min (n = 6). Activity was assessed by comparison to a standard curve. A reduction was seen in 20 day exposed TLR9- mice compared to WT mice exposed for the same time (* = p ≤ 0.05)
